The Administrative Assistant - Production Planning carries out administrative and planning duties to assure the smooth functioning of the Planning Department for Amvac’s manufacturing plant at Axis, AL. As a member of the Production Planning team, this role is responsible for recording and tracking important information accurately and will communicate regularly with other departments in the plant. The Site Maintenance Manager will lead the Maintenance team at AMVAC Chemical’s manufacturing plant assuring the safety and success of the daily plant production.
AMVAC’s Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the plant’s maintenance work and for ensuring effective use of people, resources, materials and equipment to obtain optimum performance. This specialty chemical manufacturing plant operates 7 x 24 x 365 days a year and produces products for agricultural use world-wide. The Maintenance Manager will oversee the plant’s maintenance by understanding and safely adhering to AMVAC’s process and procedures and manage through clear and concise communication.
The Instrument and Electrical (I & E) technician is responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, and replacing the physical equipment for AMVAC’s manufacturing plant, correctly and efficiently. The Technician efficiently repairs, or if necessary, replaces the plant equipment in order to permit the plant to operate on a continuous basis. The I & E Technician meets these responsibilities by understanding and safely adhering to standard I & E procedures and techniques.
The Maintenance Mechanic installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs machinery, process equipment, utilities equipment, process & facility physical structures, motors, pumps, pipe & piping components within AMVAC’s Axis manufacturing plant.
AMVAC’s Site Trainer for the Axis, Alabama manufacturing facility will create, track, and implement training programs for the entire plant collaborating with management and employees. The Site Trainer is responsible for updating and maintaining operating procedures (SOPs) pertaining to the training department. They will also be involved in permitting work for the Operations Department to insure all safety procedures are followed per the training. The Site Trainer will be the lead on New Hire Orientations; provide training on equipment (forklifts, yard dogs, etc.) and work with off-site facilities as required.
AMVAC is looking for an experienced Chemical Formulator & Packager for their Los Angeles manufacturing plant to work the Day Shift. The Formulator and Chemical Packaging person assists with the preparing liquids, granules and powders for shipping. Forklift experience desired. Interviewing immediately.
The Warehouse Stock Clerk is responsible for AMVAC’s Parts Warehouse including stocking, organizing, inventory management and customer service to support the day-to-day manufacturing needs safely. The Control Systems Engineer at AMVAC supports and maintains the plant-wide Distributed Control System (DCS), standalone PLC's and plant alarm systems as an integral member of the Engineering Department. Interaction with all areas of the manufacturing plant site are inherent to this position. Your experience should include the ability to problem-solve and prioritize activities to meet project deadlines. Honeywell Experion experience is highly desirable.
The Operations Engineer at AMVAC’s Los Angeles manufacturing plant is responsible for the management of all activities involved in the Operation & Maintenance of a 24 hour, 365 day operational chemical process unit utilizing highly hazardous chemicals.
As part of AMVAC’s Engineering Department, the Production Engineer is responsible for start-up, troubleshooting and production of chemical products in the plant; and supports Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and other facets of the Process Safety Management (PSM) Program. The Production Engineer assures proper process documentation is developed, reviewed, and made available to the operations team at the Axis manufacturing facility.
