Flexible Applications During an Unpredictable Spring

For some growers in the Midwest, spring has been dedicated to cleaning out flooded fields and determining if getting seed into the ground is even an option. This year’s flooding devastated farm fields across most of the corn and soybean belt. Recovery efforts are still ongoing, and for many, a delayed planting season is evident. University extension services have been working closely with county experts to provide information and resources to help guide growers as they work to restore their land and reshape their crop plan.

As rains continue into spring, growers may not have time to apply a pre-emergent herbicide. In that case, herbicides that offer proven performance and application flexibility will be key in corn weed management during this season’s unpredictable spring weather. ImpactZ® herbicide is a premix of two effective modes of action in one easy-to-use formulation. It can be applied from weed emergence up to 12” corn. Impact® herbicide can be applied up to 45 days before harvest and has no label restrictions with either soil applied or foliar insecticides. Both herbicides offer superior crop safety in all types of corn.
