Job Function

Amvac’s manufacturing plant at Axis has an opening for a Storeroom Lead to join the warehouse team.  The Storeroom Lead is responsible for the upkeep and tracking of inventory in the storeroom and other assigned areas and provides support and direction to the storeroom personnel.  Items in the storeroom include nuts and bolts to pumps and PPE that keep the manufacturing plant running 7 days a week – 24 hours a day. Computer skills required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Organize and direct daily tasks and assignments with storeroom personnel
  • Responsible for ensuring that daily housekeeping is performed
  • Ensure that all items entering and exiting the storeroom areas are added and subtracted in the EAM(Enterprise Asset Management) database and assist with data entry
  • Responsible for ensuring physical inventories of each EAM location are performed each quarter
  • Enter requisitions for stock items that need replenishing according to the reorder point in EAM or as requested
  • Create new stock items when required
  • Coordinate uniforms and necessary PPE for new employees
  • Assist the Inventory Supervisor in supervising storeroom associates
  • Comply with all regulatory safety and environmental requirements
  • Assist in escorting suppliers and carriers from the gate to the storeroom and other locations as necessary
  • Comply with all company policies, practices, and lawful directives
  • Other assignments as necessary and directed by management

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of storeroom or warehouse experience; manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with computerized inventory control (Enterprise Asset Management) and data entry
  • Able to take a storeroom from start-up to operational
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Word, and Excel required
  • Must be prompt, dependable, and have a good attendance record
  • Must participate in the random drug tests and the safety blood draw program
  • Must be able to pass background and pre-employment physical

Education Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required
