AMVAC has an opportunity for a Territory Sales Representative in the Tri-Cities, Washington area to serve customers in Eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon and Northern Idaho.  The ideal candidate has experience promoting sales of agricultural & agro-chemical products.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

AMVAC's Territory Sales Rep provides technical services and advice on the use, properties and modifications of AMVAC’s products.  The Territory Rep will manage assigned distribution account activity to achieve regional budgeted sales and profit objectives in alignment with overall company objectives.  Company car; Work from home office.

  • Promote sales of AMVAC’s products and solutions within the territory by applying extensive technical expertise and building customer loyalty
  • Meet with territory distributors and retailers; assist with servicing their accounts, diagnosing and solving customer problems and promoting AMVAC solutions
  • Evaluate market and industry trends, competitors, sales programs and territory coverage; communicate with peers and management
  • Assist with determining the need for new products or improvements to existing products
  • Successfully guide major programs and provide project leadership including acting as a mentor to team members
  • Interact with industry associations on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and AMVAC internal personnel
  • Work in a collaborative manner with others towards finding solutions which generally benefit all parties involved
  • Proactively lead others in the team regarding agronomics, selling skills, profit & loss strategy, technology, marketplace, business skills, and AMVAC's product portfolio

  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
  • Sales reporting tools such as QAD and EDI (Ag Data) a plus
  • Must be able to pass background test and other tests as required

Education Requirements

  • 5+ years sales experience in the Agricultural Chemical or related Agriculture Industry

Experience Requirements

  • College degree required with a preferred focus in Agricultural Science or Business
