Job Function
Amvac’s Production Planner coordinates inventory, production schedules and material requirements to meet demand based on sales forecasts, historical data, and customer orders. Daily communication with internal and external customers to ensure the right amount of raw materials arrives to meet scheduling and production goals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan production schedules based on existing inventory, forecasts and sales orders
- Calculate, requisition and monitor incoming raw materials to meet production schedules
- Coordinate with Purchasing to expedite or de-expedite raw materials
- Coordinate production schedules with Operations and Tollers (contracted manufacturing sources)
- Coordinate with Logistics and Shipping departments to ensure adequate and proper flow of products
- Follow up and take necessary action to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production schedules
- Act as liaison with Sales, Customer Service and Logistics to provide effective communication of product availability and status of open sales orders
- Create and issue work orders, enter material usages and consumptions, while researching any discrepancies
- Assist with annual physical inventory of plant site
- Prepare documents for record retention and storage
- Comply with all company policies, practices and lawful directives
Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years Production Planning or equivalent experience in a manufacturing company (chemicals or similar type products preferred)
- Experience managing data with MRP systems (QAD)
- Ability to understand chemical manufacturing processes; calculate quantities of materials
- Great organization, mathematical, and communication skills
- Accuracy and high-level of attention to detail
- Must be a self-starter with ability to work effectively with others at all levels
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass post-offer physical, background checks and other appropriate tests as required
Education Requirements
- High School Degree required
- Advanced degree preferred
