Job Function

AMVAC’s Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes. The HR Coordinator provides administrative support to the human resource function including record-keeping, reporting and file maintenance as well as supporting employees nationwide.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports HR functions and provides customer service by answering employee requests and questions
  • Backup support for the Payroll Administrator
  • Assists with on-boarding and administers new hire paperwork
  • Performs new hire orientation
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
  • Processes man-hours reports for safety managers
  • Responds to state unemployment claims
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files
  • Maintains personnel records in a safe and confidential site
  • Processes and distributes departmental mail
  • Assists with federal, state, and local agency filing and/or reporting across multiple states and some international locations
  • Represents the HR department at the Los Angeles and Commerce facilities once a week
  • Supports the HR Senior Manager and other members of the HR team in the corporate office and manufacturing sites

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years HR related office experience – manufacturing experience preferred
  • ADP Workforce Now for Payroll processing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
